  1. yes I am liking great expectations so far it is very exciting. I like this book because after every chapter it leaves you with a cliff hanger that makes you want to read more. The story also has many interesting character like the main character pip who meats a convict in a grave yard and sneaks out of his sisters house to give the convict food. The book has a good plot too. So far it is pip falling in love with a rich orphan that he plays with almost everyday. But the orphan says she's will never like pip because his future is to be a blacksmith but then a unknown benefactor offers to make pip into a gentlemen in london.

The book Great expectations takes place in london england in the 1800s. These are some lines of when pip moves to london most of the rest of the book is there. `I am instructed to communicate to him,' said Mr Jaggers, throwing his finger at me sideways, `that he will come into a handsome property. Further, that it is the desire of the present possessor of that property, that he be immediately removed from his present sphere of life and from this place, and be brought up as a gentleman -- in a word, as a young fellow of great expectations.' 'while I was scared by the immensity of London, I think I might have had some fuint doubts whether it was not rather ugly, crooked, narrow, and dirty', said pip.'
